A Fun 4th of July

The 4th of July was busy at our house! We had friends over for dinner - each of us bringing something. Greg grilled on the BBQ. Dakota helped me with the Fruit Pizza. The Gentas brought donuts and fruit; the Browns brought peanut butter bars and more fruit, the Allens offered S'mores (and a lot more), and Fruit Pizza. We had more sweets than we knew what to do with.

The firework display took place in front of Sara's. She'd laid out several blankets for the families, and then it was up to the men to give us a good show. That they did. It was low-key and fun!

After church we drove up the canyon with some friends. We'd decided to make tin foil dinners - something I'd never done before. It was so much fun. We opted for BBQ Chicken. After dinner we roasted marshmallows and made S'mores. We made them BJ's way - with PB Cups instead of plain chocolate. They are so good that way. Yumm! I could have ate them all night.

Most of the time we just sat around the fire (that is after we actually got the fire going) and visited. The kids went exploring.

It was a fun night!
